legs were fresh

DNF! If I didn't have bad luck, I don't think I would have any luck at all.  Things were going just grand until mile 5 on bike, then POP! Blew out back tire. Got old tube out and new one in, in about three minutes. Then I had my first experience with my Co2 cartridges. Yeah that didn't go so well. After 45 minutes and two spent cartridges, sweeper picked me up and took me back. I figured I paid for it, so I headed out on the run. Amazing how fresh your legs are after only 5 miles on bike.  Yes I am bummed, but decided I was going to enjoy the day any way.

I plan to harness this anger for good on Sunday.

Not sure for tonight, run or swim. Usually would do OWS on Friday night, but forcast has T-storms. so maybe tonight or maybe not. With change coming soon on job (last day next friday) stress is sky-high. Sorry I have been so lame on inspires, but I'm just hanging on at this point.

UPDATE: at work late, so a run it was. Really couldn't make up my mind on what I wanted to do with this run. Ended up easy pace with hills. WTF?

Cool down

Are we having fun yet? Bike ride most likely tonight.

UPDATE Pleased with this bike session, not so much for average speed, but for getting that speed with lower HR.
Got swallowed up by a group ride out there and not a single one of them said "on your left" or any other indication they were coming. Especially maddening because was on a dicey section of road with lots of pot holes to avoid.

That will work

Probably a shorter-type run tonight. Not really tapering for Pewaukee, but probably won't do anything stupid (training wise that is) either.

OWS Pewaukee
1x 400 w/u
1x 1600
1x 400 c/d

Plan is to do the Pewaukee OWS this evening.  Only problem, I sneeze like crazy after swimming in that lake.

UPDATE: Achoo! Not exactly my fastest effort, but I'll take it. Tons of newbies getting ready for their big race (Pewaukee). Kind of cool to see. My streak of Donkey sightings continues with seeing none other than Mr. PeterAK.
