So my mom saw the news about the drowning from Pewaukee and asked me to take up a new hobby. She also asked this gem: Dawn (my wife) would call us if you drown, right?  Yes mom, I think she would.

legs were fresh

DNF! If I didn't have bad luck, I don't think I would have any luck at all.  Things were going just grand until mile 5 on bike, then POP! Blew out back tire. Got old tube out and new one in, in about three minutes. Then I had my first experience with my Co2 cartridges. Yeah that didn't go so well. After 45 minutes and two spent cartridges, sweeper picked me up and took me back. I figured I paid for it, so I headed out on the run. Amazing how fresh your legs are after only 5 miles on bike.  Yes I am bummed, but decided I was going to enjoy the day any way.

I plan to harness this anger for good on Sunday.
