Cool down

Are we having fun yet? Bike ride most likely tonight.

UPDATE Pleased with this bike session, not so much for average speed, but for getting that speed with lower HR.
Got swallowed up by a group ride out there and not a single one of them said "on your left" or any other indication they were coming. Especially maddening because was on a dicey section of road with lots of pot holes to avoid.

That will work

Probably a shorter-type run tonight. Not really tapering for Pewaukee, but probably won't do anything stupid (training wise that is) either.

OWS Pewaukee
1x 400 w/u
1x 1600
1x 400 c/d

Plan is to do the Pewaukee OWS this evening.  Only problem, I sneeze like crazy after swimming in that lake.

UPDATE: Achoo! Not exactly my fastest effort, but I'll take it. Tons of newbies getting ready for their big race (Pewaukee). Kind of cool to see. My streak of Donkey sightings continues with seeing none other than Mr. PeterAK.

If there could be a more beautiful day for running than this morning, don't know what it would be.  As if it couldn't get any better, run had a guest appearance by Djdavey, who was riding by on his bike.  Always good to visit with Mr. Davey. Turns out the trail is a great place for Donkey sightings. (saw Clint on Friday) Would have gone a little longer but had a gig playing drums at Church, which I did enjoy.

OWS Ottawa

Nice swim, felt good. Wish I had more time, but promised to be back for all the 4th festivities. Most likely giving the legs a rest for today.

HAPPY 4th!

Tour de courses
1 loop of Pewaukee course, then cross over the kettle Moraine to 1 loop of the Tri-ing for children's course, then back home

Nice ride, perfect conditions (no sun AGAIN!) Saw lots of creatures, turkeys, deer, chipmunks (including one in the mouth of a cat), cranes and a Clint.  ;) Yes, crossed paths with Clint. Almost missed him but he was aware enough to track after me. Rode together a few miles. Always good to have some nice company. Ride was a little longer than planned, but ok with me.

post bike felt good

Run didn't happen last night because of scheduling, probably a good thing, as a rest day was probably in order. Tonight a run or maybe a ride on my newly tuned bike.

So the current stress in my life?  My employer and I are going our separate ways. Ultimately this is a good thing for me, but breaking up is hard to do.
