Still feeling beat down and very sore inner thigh (from what I don't know) Geez, with as crappy as I feel, I might as well just done the race. Thinking I will jump on the bike tonight.
UPDATE: Leg still sore and seems to be affecting my power a bit. Super.
Oh man am I tired. As has become the annual tradition, I will not be signing up for IMMOO next year. I think my daughter's spanish teacher (who was doing the race) said it best when I saw her on the run "whatever you do, don't sign up, because this sucks!" I'm thinking a lot of the athletes were saying that, as it was pretty miserable (read hot) day for them. I actually had a great time. Really enjoyed my volunteer stints. Saw almost everybody multiple times. I even managed to see Tammy, Josh and Rich finish. Now I want to go back to sleep.
Oh yeah, I am pretty much thinking today is a rest day.
Ride this afternoon. No real training this weekend. Just me & my 9 year ol tomorrow. We will do something fun. Then on sunday hanging out with a bunch of Iron Donks.
I'm thinking a swim tonight in prep of next week's du. ;)
UPDATE just an easy evening swim in the waning days of summer. Didn't like running out of daylight, but was cool to swim as the sunset disappeared over the horizon.
Body is telling me to give the legs a rest today. So full on rest day or ez swim tonight...or I will ignore my body and common sense and go for a run.
UPDATE: Really, did you expect anything else? ;) Schedule narrowed my options. Picked a route I have never done before. Uphill all the way to turn around then all down hill. Can you tell by splits? 1. 9:16, 2. 9:04 3. 8:12
