Originally I was going to race a 10k trail run at Lapham peak tomorrow, but I have changed my mind.  I have had a bit of a sore hip flexor for a few weeks now and I fear I will aggravate it if I run a hilly trail run, so I am opting out.  I am bummed out though as I love fall trail runs, but I have to look at the big picture.

Just a run...except the part where a deer almost ran into me.  Blinded by someone's bright headlights and as soon as car went past could not see a thing but heard two deer run past very close to me (less than 10 feet) couldn't see them but heard hoofs on the road and the deer breathing. Scared the CRAP out of me. Stopped for about a minute to get my HR down and make sure there were no more coming.

If I had all the time in the world, probably would have gone a few miles longer, but I had limited time so I squeezed in the maximum miles I could get.  Hip flexors and hips a bit tight and sore, as they have been all week.  Think it might be tied to hillapolooza from last weekend.  As I have noted hips and glute issues have been a bit more noticeable recently and I am not interested in returning to last year at all.  Thinking I will do a few ART sessions to keep things in line as I ramp up again.
