Pretty satisfy 'long' run.  Pleased I negative split with a stiff breeze in my face on return trip.  I'm liking that all these runs are easily sub 9, even after running 4 days in a row.

Nice to run in sun and the 'heat' of the day. (mid 30s) Bonus: ran part of this on Glacier trail which was surprisingly dry and devoid of snow.  Speaking of surprises, surprised at how easy this pace has been coming.

Must say frustration is setting in.  I have not nailed down my race schedule for year and I need some goals.  With no races on immediate horizon, and therefore, no goals, my motivation to run in this stupidly cold weather is zero.  My weight is creeping up (5 pounds since Disney).  My schedule is causing issues with my spring schedule:  Synette de mai, same day (& time) as my nephew's graduation from college. So NO synette de mai.  Bear trax 20k same weekend as my daughter's state gynmastics meet, so NO Bear Trax.  (outside chance meet is on sunday or sat. PM and then I could race if it doesn't sell out). Now we are taking family trip to visit some colleges for my 'soon to be a senior' daughter, the weekend after Easter, so NO Trail Breaker or South South 1/2.  Don't get me wrong these are all important things that I am making choices to do, but just frustrating they are all falling on weekends of races. 

So tonight I will try and run some of these frustrations off and come up with a new plan.

Rest day, as we took my daughter out for dinner for her birthday.  In bizarre end to evening both my wife and I hit deer on way home.  I had driven to restaraunt seperate because I came straight from work.  Driving home I was in front of my wife on a curvy, wooded road when two deer came running out of woods.  The first one got past me, but I clipped the second one.  (some minor damage to front end of my car.) Unknown to me, some of the rest of the group of deer went behind me and one of those deer ran right into front of my wife's car (which was basically stopped at that point) (again, thankfully, minimal damage)

Last year on this date it was 75 and sunny.  The year before that I ran in shorts.  I don't usually like to live in the past, but this week I might.

UPDATE Feel like a wimp, but couldn't bear to run outside today, so I got on trainer.  Worked hard for once, especially on sprints.  Brought back memories of old days of Jorge's winter plans (in fact I think this was one of those sessions)
