Maple to Bryn Road

Strength & Beautiful.  One of my favorite routes and it is very pretty, but lots of hills, throw in some very strong winds and you have a strength builder.  Would have been faster on return, but there was a dog running loose on road and many people where trying to catch it before it got hit by a car.  At one point I actually slowed down because I thought the dog thought I was chasing it.  ( that didn't seem to help much.) No one ever did catch the dog, but at least he was corralled onto a a less busy road.

Now that felt better (amazing what a rest day and 25 degree temp. drop will do. )

Whatever you do, don't let me run today. Rest day or something restorative (ie Yoga or stretching) That is it.

UPDATE I did it, I actually listened to my body and did nothing.

Was very tempted to go on a run this morning. but took my yoga mat onto the deck and did mixture of yoga/stretch/meditation with some planks and push ups thrown in.  (got to start walking the walk.)

UPDATE the temptation of a beautiful evening in the 70's was too much and I had to go run.  I got what I deserved (at least I did a hillier route to justify the slow pace.) need a rest day.

walking with my daughter pre-run

This run is my body's subtle way of saying that I should take a rest day from running.  What my body doesn't understand is I can't rest on a day when it is 70 and sunny. geez.

Should have been rest day, but I have been waiting for too long for perfect weather (68) to sit inside.  Really felt pretty decent.

Glute is very sore right now

Started out on glacier drumlin path and turned onto Lake Country connecter that runs through west end of Lapham.  Was going to do an out and back, but then I saw a guying running on a trail and couldn't help myself.  Ran through Lapham on Ice Age trail.  That was very enjoyable, but slow.
