Time is an estimate because I don't have a Garmin (died last year), I don't have a watch (died last week) and my phone was out of battery. So this is estimate off kitchen clock.

around 8 on glacier paved trail and about 5 on Ice age (paved with rocks and roots) As always distance is pretty much an educated guess. Very pleased with strength I have going up hills. Ran up every hill including some I think I have always walked. Did take a little spill in front of a family when I took my eyes off the trail. Cute little kid says to me when I pass " you fell down back there" mom says to him "it happens sometimes in nature.' Yes it does.

Thinking about mortality out there on trail because of my grandmother. I must say I never feel more alive than I do running trails. You HAVE to focus on the moment. You daydream about something and a rock or root will wake you up in a hurry.

Lapham peak nice run in cool weather that got cut short with phone call that my grandmother is in final stages of her hospice care. As I write this, grandma is still with us and I would have had time to finish run, but that is ok.

out 12:25 (8:12 pace)
back 11:59 (7:59 pace)

Plan was to head to track for speed session, but work got in the way again. So when I got home decided to take a 'quick' run. With all the sluggish runs I have had lately, this one felt good.
