1st 2 miles avg was 10:00/mile 'sped' up for last mile.

This run was at dusk, yet temps were still in mid '80s with 70s dew point. Just took it real easy. Took two bottles of water which is rare for a run this short. Even rarer is the fact that I drank them both.

out 18:01 (9:00 pace)
back 17:40 (8:49)
waited until sunset (ok I just home from from work at 7:30) to do this nice evening but very warm & humid.

Monday is normal rest day, but I was short on miles this weekend and I am front loading the week in anticipation of the 1/2 on Saturday.

Actually 2 runs. first 2 miles I did about 7 before I took daughter to driver's ed. Then 8 after I dropped her off. Negative split the return trip by a little over 2 miles. Of course I need/wanted to go longer, but I had places to be, so this was it.

  • Walking
  • 50m

Nice walk on a beautiful summer evening with my daughter. One year from now she will be heading off to college, so I really cherish these walks.

Scuppernung trail 5 mile loop. Then Ice Age trail from hwy zz to past hwy 67 to just past Brady's rocks. This is part of Northface course. As always, would have gone longer, but had to be somewhere. This mileage felt just fine, but it is less than 1/2 of what I have to do on race day. Ankle swelling has gone away (thank goodness) so no issues there.

  • Hiking
  • 50m

Hike at Lapham on first part of Black trail with my daughter. She was a trooper, but it was getting warm and took her on some tough hills.

very sluggish run in the humidity and swarms of nats. Not pleasant or enjoyable, but I needed to get some miles in.

Played it slightly smart. ankle still swollen, but not as bad as it has been. So took this short one in the heat.

  • Walking
  • 10m

walk/run with my daughter that got cut short from thunder and lightning in the not too far off distance.

Ankle still swollen from bee stings, but looks a little better today. Plan is most likely a run today. This kind of stinks as this is supposed to be my highest volume week, but have to be smart.
