Not a PR, but not bad. Felt this was more a math problem than a fitness problem. Started out very comfortable pace (32:04 after 4 miles) Then sped up, but apparently not enough. Once I got to 10 realized it was going to be tough to PR, pushed the pace some more, but not enough race left.
results: 72 out 457 overall and 9 out of 29 for old guy (45-49) division.

Ok I just realized that tomorrow is only 2 weeks from my 50k run through the woods. Everytime I think about it my stomach gets jumbly. Some time because I really excited, some times because I am scared. I think it will be fun...but it will hurt too.

Home at 7:45 from work. Only had time for run or walk I promised my daughter. Pretty easy choice. Also, have been terribly fatigued and thought taking a night off of running might help.

1st 2 miles avg was 10:00/mile 'sped' up for last mile.

This run was at dusk, yet temps were still in mid '80s with 70s dew point. Just took it real easy. Took two bottles of water which is rare for a run this short. Even rarer is the fact that I drank them both.

waited until sunset (ok I just home from from work at 7:30) to do this nice evening but very warm & humid.

Monday is normal rest day, but I was short on miles this weekend and I am front loading the week in anticipation of the 1/2 on Saturday.
