The tri gods were smiling on me today. Got to the gym in a bathing suit and a pair of sandals only to find "pool is closed"signs. Went to check it out anyway and of course the earlybirds were in there swimming. I snuck in figuring they'ed kick me out but managed to get a nice easy mile in. My last swim b4 the race. Feel like the stars are lining up for me.

small loop, heavy legs to start. took it easy and felt good by the end.

This taper thing is hard! Woke up w/ heavy legs. Had to convince myself to get out there - was thinking of just taking the day off. As usual, glad I did. Legs felt great by the end of an easy 3 mile "jog". Long stetch and longer jacuzzi, ahhhh. The mental games i'm playing w/ myself are the hard part at this point.

so much for saturday being my last brick. felt good yesterday so did a short 10/2 brick. tooled around the neighborhood. riding w/o hills is good! ave over 17 mph!Swam in lake w/ the wetsuit for the 1st time. felt good. more importantly practiced getting the suit off in the water. took a few tries but think I'll do fine, very light swim today. beat from yesterday but overall feel good. gonna be along week at work.
