Calves are still sore from Monday's run.  Walking is tough if I have been sitting a while.

Bought a new riding lawn mower after work today.  That hurts the racing fund!  Oh well, cutting the grass with the push mower "cuts" into training time!   We used to have a rider, but it died at the end of last season and we're just getting around to replacing it.

First real ride on the new P2C. Easy Z1-Z2 spin.

I'm a bit sore and tired from yesterday's race.
My calves hurt the worst.

Hopefully later today will be my first outdoor ride on my new bike.
If my legs hold out that is.

First impression of P2C:
- bike is really tall, almost awkwardly so
- it was a bit twitchy at first
- very smooth ride on good pavement and average pavement
- Rough ride over poor pavement or pavement joints
- smooth shifting and pedaling.
- very fast; much faster than my old bike at the same effort level
- saddle was uncomfortable after 1.5 hours, I likely just need some time to adjust

Today is the day I pickup my new bike!!  I'm almost embarassed at how excited I am about this.  I have been doing my best to wait patiently for it's arrival.  It's been getting close to 2 months.  I had a hard time sleeping last night because of it.  Appointment is for 3pm. 

Anyway, I have to work this morning.  Hopefully that helps the day go by.

I finally got my P2C !!
My final bike fit took almost 4 hours.  Crazy long time.  The problem was the cockpit.  The reach was too long and the bars too short.  They had to take the shifter cables out, and the entire cockpit apart, reassembly and rerun the shifter cables, as well as tweak heights etc.  It looks really good on camera.  It feels pretty good on the trainer.  I haven't ridden it yet.  I didn't get home from the bike shop until after dark.

I'm hoping to schedule my bike fit with the bikeshop today.  I can hopefully get my bike Sat or Sun.
It's supposed to be a great weekend.  I'd like to get a chance to ride the bike this weekend as it is now less than a month until my first race.

Update: Bike fit scheduled for Saturday at 3pm !

What a misty, rainy miserable morning to wake up to.
Ahh......spring is definitely here.

Today should be the day I hear from the bike shop about my P2C.  If not then it is late again.
2:40pm update:  NO PHONE CALL YET

4pm update: I finally heard from the bike shop.  They have my P2C.  They are going to try to build it tonight and call me tomorrow to schedule a fit over the weekend.   Woohoo!!

Workout tonight was run before bike.  I modified the run from a TT to a Z2 run as I have a 10 mile race on monday and I want to be somewhat tapered.   I did the bike after the run tonight.  Spinning the legs felt good after the run.
