Rather chilly hike in Minnewaska State Park. Was not expecting the TOTALLY FROZEN lake and hiking on ice. :) Lots of up and down, big cliffs with sweeping views, and so forth.

Easy jog. 59 and sunny; felt great!

Hiking in the Catskills tomorrow. Then for Sunday, my friend I'm doing the half marathon with talked me into running the full course with him. Guess that's all right, since I would have been doing an 11-miler or so anyway.

Easy jog on the treadmill. I *could* have done it outside, but it was pretty windy so I decided against it.

Got my body fat and weight checked at the gym; BF% was the same as the last time I got it checked (in Feb.) but my weight was down by 5 pounds in the same time period. I was really surprised. I have not been trying to lose any, although I have been trying not to gain, figuring that my HM goal is ambitious as it is, and gaining a few pounds over the spring would not help. Maybe I was just on the low end of normal fluctuations today. I'll just keep trying to eat sensibly in the next few weeks (and beyond). The guy who took my measurements at the gym is a runner too and we talked about running for awhile. :)

Wasn't really much running around in this particular game. I'd hardly count it as real exercise.

Since it's Sunday I'd normally do my 3-4 mile easy jog, but with meeting relatives for Easter and rain, it just isn't happening.  And my dissertation defense is Wednesday, so the next few days will be very busy.  Next week was going to be the start of a two-week taper, but I think I will swap around my run schedule to be light the first half of this week, medium-to-hard the second half of this week and first half of next, and taper for the remaining 10 or so days till the HM.
