OK, so reading the "getting drunk" thread has now got me in the mood to start planning another one of my "Margaritaville in the Winter" parties.  Normally I wait till it turns real cold, but I might not be able to wait that long...I need a day of good margaritas, great tequila, hawaiian shirts and Jimmy Buffett music.  Now, just need to decide when!!


Another PB for Champ:  2.72 miles!!!

 

It was a good run in very cool temps and was going good until the rain started.  the mist was fine, but the downpour didn't please Champ or I, so we went IFR-direct to home.  No swim today as I am going to do it tomorrow on my off day.  I figured I have traded enough workout days for off-days that I should reverse course a bit.  And since, our semi-annual Navy PFA (Physical Fitness Assessment) is tomorrow and the fact that the doctors haven't cleared me for physical activity (shhh!!!), I am not allowed to participate, therefore I am going to swim while they are testing.


High today WAS 70.....and that WAS at 0100 (that's 1 a.m.) and the temp is dropping rapidly ever since.  Going to make for an enjoyable cool run this afternoon.  Damn I love running in cold weather...it's the biking that sux!  40 degree temps...WHOO HOO!!!!

Bored beyond belief at work as they are replacing the carpet in the building and I have been displaced from my office and computer.  A lot of sitting around doing nothing...yes, more than normal!  This is sitting around doing nothing and NOT having the ability to surf the net like normal.

Then back out to finish up my run without him.

Another run around the neighborhood.  Slowly building back up the distance.  Going to take it easy until the end of the month and the Marine Corps 10K in DC, then coach is going to allow me to pick up the distances a bit more overall.   She is being more cautious than I want to be, maybe that is a good thing.  I figure since I am paying her, I might as well listen too.  :)

Supposed to be an off day, but I took it early (saturday) so I need to make up the run today, but weather may force me inside to do a CT workout instead.  Either way, the yellow square will be gone by the end of the day.

First outdoor bike ride post-hospital.  The coach only prescribed 1-1.25 hours and with the cold, that is all I did.  I really hate riding in cold weather.  Thanks to "FrankAmato" for not bailing on me like "twolives" and "jccbulldog" did (I am kidding, both had legitimate excuses ;) ).  We took it easy and just stretched out the legs for the first time in many weeks.  Felt good to be outdoors on the bike, now only if it was about 20 degrees warmer.  Yes, I am a cold-weather bike wimp..I admit that...now, bite me!

Yeah, yeah, yeah...another off-day.  Oh well, the legs were screaming at me after I did squats and lunges the day before, so I opted for the tailgating/football game cross training instead.  Guess that means that Monday's off-day was now used for today!  Make-up run on Monday!

Run is done, weights are done, now I guess it is just anothe relaxing Friday night at home watching football and baseball.

Nano band of the day:  Fuel.    Great music to run to!!!  I really hate that my buddy Brett left the band, but I still like their music and think they will continue to put together some good CDs.  Carl's writing will carry them through and back up the charts!


Well the run got pushed till today.  Only had two beers yesterday since I was driving, but just decided to enjoy the day and not worry about a workout.  Today is about the same, off at noon, now I have a few errands to run, but I will get the run in later this afternoon.
