Day off from working out...which is a good thing because the legs are screaming at me from the squats yesterday.

Shitty swim. Fought with a leaking goggle and then finally got pissed and got out. Also, didn't refuel properly after the CT ride last night and paid for it with very low energy this morning. Lesson learned.

Strength

2x upper body circuit; 1x legs.

Going to the pool shortly for a swim workout then I will hit the weights a bit too.  Done.

3hr Z2 ride on the Computrainer.

I decided that all long rides that I do on the CT will be on the IMAZ course and I will get a weather check and use the winds in Tempe for that day...well, I got lucky today and the winds were calm, so that is what I used.

Happy New Year everyone!

Not much to report from last night as I stayed in and had an uneventful NYE.  Just didn't feel like celebrating last night.  2006 was a great year, but seeing what I see, 2007 has a chance to be one of the best years in my life.  Last year had a lot of great moments, to include many great races with my BT friends at Gasparilla, St. A's, Memphis in May, Chattanooga, Marine Corps Marathon and Memphis/St. Jude.  Those memories will always rank high on the "best of 2006" memory list.  However, there was some down time in 2006 as well, most of which was the scary end to the year that I had with my mysterious illness.  It is still very weird to hear my friends, family and even my doctors tell me of how close I came to dying and how they didn't think I was going to make it.  I have to believe them because I do know how sick I was, but to feel as good as I do now and to have the great health that I have now also makes it hard to look back on last year and think that I could have died.  Pretty somber thoughts, but that is all behind me now and I am very lucky to be back to full health.  Thanks again to all of BT for the hundreds of prayers and well wishes...that means everything to me.

Now for 2007, there is so much on the horizon, some of which I can't talk about, but so many things that WILL happen this year that will only improve on the great life that I am already living.....believe it or not, it is great to be me....

Gonna do a short CT ride later, but moving the long ride to Jan 1st....for a couple of reasons....
