Taking today off! Have read some IM threads yesterday and just realised that it is more important to get your key/long sessions in each week than to worry too much about all the shorter ones (when short on time etc).
So RESTING today, will do a 4 hour ride tomorrow (weather permitting) or some other time during the weekend.
Told my hubby this morning (when we were struggling to get up) that I think the mental battle of Ironman is now starting - 16 weeks to go and it feels sooo long!
The challenge to fit life (and the festive season) and training in has started in all earnest!
Will have to stay focused and to quote a well known athletic brand - "Just do it"!!
Was feeling very tired this morning, and now my throught is sore :(. But I am sure it is nothing serious :).
My brother and his wife is coming to visit tomorrow evening until Monday, and on Friday my parents are also coming - am really looking forward to seeing them all again!!
Then on Saturday we are having a 90th birthday party for my grandmother - cool hey. She is so amazing, still healthy and looking after herself at 90 - hope I have some of her genes (but not all - she can't hear a thing :)).
Tomorrow is also our year end function at work - only half day work and then some kind of kiddies party with jumping castles and the lot - will see how that goes down.
