Blisters and Puke I am stupid. I wore cross-trainers with cotton socks instead of my very expensive running shoes. Yep, as you can imagine, my arches blistered. Not fun. Very painful. It stings. I went pretty fast though. *** I PUKED IN MY DRIVEWAY. I rode my normal route for a while then decided I'd check out the neighborhood a little bit, since Eric and I haven't been lving in the area for very long. I found this road called Taylor Rd and it had a very steep face going up. I thought I'd give it a try. Once I got to the crest of the first hill, I saw that there were 3 more just like it. You know the feeling where your stomach "drops out?" Like when you go over the top of a hill too fast in you car? That's what mine was doing as I'd start to descend each hill. These hills are serisouly close to 45*. Not kidding. I drove the route in my car and I had to shift into 2nd gear to climb them in my Mustang!... after I finished the hill section, theres always one more on the way back to my house (which usually feels hard, but after the set, it wasnt too bad) and made a loop around the block to bring my HR back down. ... well I pulled into my driveway, leaned forward and rested on my aero pads, and BLAH. Puked in my driveway. Right in front of the neighbors. Serisouly. I just let er rip. I thought i'd be okay, but as soon as I leaned forward to rest, I just barfed. The neighbor told me I had balls. I guess that's always good to hear.

Has anyone seen the ad in the newest TRIATHLETE mag that has the SBR Multi Sports ad that has the David Spade look-a-like (except he's skinny enough to be from Ethiopia)? He's wearing water wings and the ad says "Not everyone can be beautiful, but the right gear can help." It's my favorite.

Last night I put on all my tri race gear to ride in for the first time. I put my hand in my largest fat deposit spot (right under my ass) and SURPRISE it really is almost gone. I don't have the lumpy feeling, now it's smooth. I can still see it in the mirror, but I stood up and took a close look at myself and thought "my body is really changing." It's so great to start to FEEL that. I am not doing tris or "working out" to lose weight. I am TRAINING with a purpose to compete and to fullfill something in myself. Talk about an added bonus.

I kept stopping to mess with chain and chain ring. I ride a Transistion multisport, so the chian rings are 32, 41, 53. There's somthing up with my cable and it wouldnt pull it out of the first ring. (not fun to ride in). I'm going to have it checked out tonight- I didnt have the right tools with me to manipulate it, so i just rode back to the house.

Both legs are tender in shin area- again. Bummer to go fromgreat run to running with pain in 24 hours. I had to walk about 1/2 a block to get it back under control...

A little extra this evening off the bike to get my legs and practice T2. Not so fun

I got pretty frustrated about my bike. Hopefully I can get it fixed up this evening.
