Removed two trees for our new fence with Layton

Got up and did a run around Discovery Bay. I wanted to get at least three miles in and no more than five. I was really thirsty and need to get bottles up here (it was probably 90 degrees!). My goal was to warm up for a mile and the pick up the pace each mile
(9:51, 9:35. 8:57. 9:45).

After the run, I mowed our small lawn and put yard clipping into the bin.

At 6 pm I swam from our dock through the narrow channel out to the island and then back around goose poop island and back home.

Since my shin was bothering me, I decided not to push it too much. I skipped my run.

Instead Danette and I swam around goose poop island! The course is about 1/3 of a mile and was her first open water swim in quite a while. We took it easy--but had a ton of fun.

You know what? I'm really enjoying swimming again. I don't think I swam in 2012. It is interesting that you can get back out there and still remember quite a bit of the basics

We got a Kayak that we'll take out later tonight.

Danette and I took our new Kayak out and did almost 2.45 miles. It was a lot of fun. Clearly the two of us have no clue what we're doing. I think we should sign up for a class in the near future.

I took the day off from work (sort of) and came up to our house at Discovery Bay. When my wife was out getting her nails done, I did a three mile run.

Last weekend I ended up pulling my middle thorax and two days later ended up in the urgent care and then hospital. I could not breath and they were concerned that I had a blood clot. The ER Dr suggest that I take the next 5 days off.

My game plan was to go three miles and not a minute more. A decent run, but my right shin hurt a little bit.
