I did a track workout--and had serious GI distress. I felt like crap, so I cut it back and headed into the office. 2 x 800 (7:45, 7:49) and 2 x 400 (7:48, 7:44). I screwed up the garmin--so the distance and time is a complete swag.

Plank day 14. I thought about counting yesterday's core workout as day 14--but decided not to. This was the first time I did the first three minutes without a break!

Walked before the run

Woke up about 7:30 and run from our hotel in Santa Cruz to the boardwalk. Then, along the West Cliffs. It was a nice run and I felt pretty good.

Per the usual, I say hello to everyone I pass. You got to love Santa Cruz. Generally the people were friendly, but I had two firsts. Between our hotel and the boardwalk, I got solicited! Oh darn, I did not bring a stack of 20s running. Then, on West Cliffs, I had a surfer tell me "fuck you" when I said good morning! Classic!

It was a nice run for about 7 miles. Probably 5 miles were along the Big Kahanu 1/2 Ironman course.

I did the core/stretching class at Oakwood. Celine is out on vacation-so Robyn did the class. She is a former gymnast. She is all about functional strength through increasing range of motion, while attacking muscle not normally used. Not high intensity--but very things like my hip flexors are seriously barking.
After dinner I did my planks--Day 13.

200 Wu; 200 kick; 200 pull; Then MS of 10 x 100 at 2:15. In my mind, I thought "well I'll take it easy and do the set at 2:00. Stunned at the first 100....

Damn you bosu class. Only activity I could do was walk at lunch.

Bosu class on Monday and hard effort at track on Tuesday = recovery day. Nothing in the tank and super sore. Thinking about taking vitamin I today. I never take this crap-but may make the exception today. Instead of working out I'm going to watch the time trial on the tour before heading to work.
