I was a swim angel for the Danskin today - fun! Three of us got to be the starting gate for the first several waves. It was awesome to see the excitement on all of the ladies' faces and help get them psyched up for the start. After my turn on that, I trailed behind a wave and helped out some swimmers that were struggling. There were a few that got frazzled by the start, but were fine once they had some space to work with and a chance to catch their breath. The lake was pretty choppy in the wind, so there were many who were struggling against the current and and waves. We were very busy through the entire swim leg. Afterwards, another swim angel and I swam the course just for the workout. It was good sighting practice for me, and I felt quite strong, despite having been in the water for more than an hour already. All in all, a very fun morning!
