Wow, I made it to the pool twice this week! I think this might be some kind of record.
Finally got my run in. Instead of doing intervals like I was supposed to, I decided to do a goal pace run. It felt awesome, and I felt like I could've run all night.
Did a few 100m strides, but my legs felt really heavy the whole time.
Great swim! I felt strong the entire time. Since I didn't feel like thinking about anything in life, I decided to think really hard about pulling my arm through the water, and that seemed to work.
Rode down to fiesta island and around mission bay. Ride felt good! My legs feel totally recovered from Saturday.
Went hiking at Torrey Pines state park, then spent the afternoon playing disc golf in Balboa Park. Disc golf rocks. At the course, there was a beautiful Bernese Mountain dog, and petting him made my week :)

Ran around the neighboorhood with my friend from college, Sarah. She did her first marathon in Alaska last year, and is training for a half marathon now. It was nice to have someone to run and chat with. I did some strides to get my blood pumping and I managed to run a 5:23min/mile for .15 miles- sweet! I don't think I've ever ran that fast before, even if it was for just a bit.
