Just Feeling Like A Bad A@@ Even Though I Had No Sleep Indoor Triathlon, or JFLBAETHNSIT For some reason, I felt compelled to do the indoor tri thing this am. I got off work at 0430, with less than 90 minutes sleep. Went straight to the Y and was there when the doors opened. Treadmill run straight to spin class (:90 Transition) then to the pool (5:00 transition including restroom stop :)) Felt pretty good throughout. Tried some ear plugs during the swim today. That seemed to help some, although I was a little nauseated at the end, but that may have been too much effort on no sleep or breakfast.

Very frustrating swim. I haven't been able to get in the pool for about 3 weeks due to multiple issues. I started out with a 750 yd w/u alt free and breast every lap. Felt strong. Did another 300 yards and then started having ear issues again. I could feel my right ear stopping up and I started feeling dizzy and a little naueseous again. I'm going to have to invest in a decent pair of earplugs. Pissed me off royally. Need to get in the pool at least 4 days a week from now till Over the Mtn.

Had my fun 6 month visit to the PET scanner today. Basically, you go in and get injected with Radioactive sugar. You lay there for an hour while it circulates, then they inject you with Lasix to make you pee. After about 45 mins and several trips to the restroom, you get to climb into the PET scanner, which is an interesting experience in sensory deprivation. Your head is sunk down into a foam pillow which somewhat dulls your hearing and you are wrapped in a warm blanket with your arms by your sides. For the 30 or so minutes of the scan, all you can see and hear is the machine. I usually sleep thru it but I couldn't sleep today for some reason. I'll go to the doctor in about 10 days for my results. Hopefully, they will continue to be clear. Next month will be 2 years since I finished chemo and today was my 4th or 5th trip to the scanner. We'll keep up this routine until I get 5 years out and am officially declared cured.

Trainer Ride--Endurance

Got in the zone and survived another hampster ride. I'd have rather been outside enjoying the weather, but it's hard on the weekends when we have all the kids plus the baby. Better trainer than nothing I guess.
