A little over a 5 minute PR.  I am waiting for the official results - I don't know why it matters but I would really love to see 1:49:59 as opposed to 1:50:00.   I am a freak - I am sure you all understand :)  Official time is 1:49:56.  YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!

Garmin said 13.26 miles in 1:49:59.  Official 10k split was 51:55 (PR for 10k!!!).

Rainy Friday....Boo!!  I thought about swimming this morning, but we had a HOA board meeting last night that did not wrap up until 9pm, and then Sam's flight was delayed and he got home at 11pm and then I had trouble falling asleep and I did not finally go out until midnight.  I think my body is wondering WTF is going on - it's not tired at the end of the day like usual from the workouts.  I may try to go swim for 30 minutes tonight just to get tired so I will sleep well tonight.

I'm talking to my coach today about pacing for the race this weekend.  After I posted the thread on the GA forum I was like, "Well duh - that's why I have a coach!"  So we're talking this afternoon.  I'll finalize my goals after I talk to her.  Really I think anything faster than the last 1/2 marathon is good, but I do have hopes to beat it by a few minutes.  We shall see....

I'm trying to decide whether to wear my new Asics w/ the orthotics for the race.  I've only done 2 miles last Saturday and 4.25 miles on Wednesday in them, but they feel so good!  Jim said that if I could do 7 in them before the race that I should be good to go, but I've only done 4.  My other shoes feel like crap compared to these, but I wonder if it's too soon.  I guess I should call him.

I'm getting super excited about race day Sunday!  Although it was not good news yesterday when my sister told me that she's going to sit this race out.  She's been struggling with some kind of injury in her foot for the past month and she doesn't think it's a good idea to run the half marathon.  I agree, but I am sad about that because it would have been more fun to do it with her.  I was kind of down about it because she was going to be my buddy for the race and with her not going I was going to have to go by myself.  But Sam is being a trooper and volunteered to go with me.  I feel bad about having him get up at 5:30am and stand there for 2 hours while I go run, but he said he really doesn't mind.  He's a good hubby.  He wants to bring Phoebe girl.  I wish she could run with me - she's a rocket!  But it will be nice to have them at the finish line waiting for me!

Every day around 3pm I just want to go to sleep.  It lasts until I go to bed.  Seriously - this is ridiculous!  I was on track for 8 hours last night but a fire truck came in the neighborhood w/ it's siren going at 2am.  Can't they keep it down?

Plan is to make up yesterday's run.  It looks like the rain is holding off for right now - maybe I'll get to do it outside.  Maybe not.

Ahhhh taper week.  Woohoo!  I am so ready to do this race already!  Enough of this training stuff - I want to race!  The weather looks like it's shaping up nice and it should be a great day.  Now I just need to get lots of rest.
