Ok race, I think I beat my time from last year, but not by as much as I had hoped.  Swim wasn't so good, bike I thought felt good, but not sure until I see the time, and the run was good.  The run is the only data I have and that came off the Garmin.  It started raining after the race so dexter and I loaded up and went home.  I'll update once they loaded it onto the website.

Great to see so many BT folks out racing and spending some time with them.  Missed a few that were there but never ran into them.

Short core workout plus some good quality stretching.  Other than this, today will be a rest day.  We are having our annual meetings yesterday and today and it will be all day in meetings and a dinner reception tonight.  I'll sneak out to packet pickup sometime and hopefully get everything packed and loaded between the meetings and dinner.

Today is the last day of the training plan that I have not followed one day of :) .  After following the IM plan almost daily, I just didn't want the structure.  This past week my attitude and efforts have improved to a point where I am really looking forward to next years IM.  Now I just need to get the eating habits under control.  Plus figure out what to do between now and November/December when the training goes to full scale.  I'm thinking a run focus.

I'm thinking about getting the IM tat too.  My hesitation has been after seeing a bunch in Lake Placid that all looked the same and were pretty plain, deciding on where to put it and what design I want.

Coming in the driveway last night I hit the concrete apron between the driveway and the road pretty hard and when my fat ass landed on the seat it pushed the seat down some.  So, I readjusted it back to where I think it was, but got thinking I better throw the bike on the trainer this morning for a short ride to make sure.

Easy run off the bike.  I was pleased with the hr at the pace and distance, even if it was on the treadmill.

TGIF!!!

I think I found my training mojo!  Woke up this morning really looking forward to the workout!

I met Dexter and sam the dog at the lake for a swim this morning!  Only lost a little swim fitness! But considering this is the only purple on my graph for the last month, it could be worse.  It was a bit cold this morning, air temp 48 degrees when we got in the water.  After the initial rush of getting into the water it wasn't too bad.  Sunday's race may be a bit of a challenge to dress for the bike.  If the weather man is right it is going to be cold when we get out of the water and warm up nicely as the sun comes up.  May just have to start the bike shivering, maybe I will pedal harder!

Thanks for the swim Dudley!

I've been complaining some recently about things at work being busy and losing control of my schedule and things being tough.  But after reading the paper, watching the news, and even some forums and blogs here, I have it pretty good.  So I can't get my workouts in the way I would like, it could be worse.  We are busy at work, but it is because we have more work than we can handle right now, it could be the opposite.  I've not logged the time training I would like, but at least I am healthy enough to exercise when I do have the time!  I've been more mentally tired than I am used to, but at least my house is where I left it when I can come home to rest.  I've got a couple of months until I really need to worry about logging hours to prepare for next season, so anything I get done helps me maintain until then.

Happy Tuesday! :)

The power was out from the wind storm during the night and it didn't come back on until a little after 6 this morning.  So even if I had woken up, I wouldn't have been able to see in the basement.  When it came on I hurried to the basement for a short ride on the trainer.
