Band had a show last night. Went to bed just after 2, up at 7:00 AM to get ready for race.

Ran a 38:13 at Rapid Rabbit Run 5 miler this morning. New PR! Didnt see that coming. I have not focused on this race. No speed work, no taper. Fact is, this will be my biggest training week ever and just came off a 10 mile loong run on Thursday. Legs really felt a bit weary this morning.

Cold and rainy long run this afternoon. Very miserable. Felt pretty good. Was super wet and cold when I got done.

Was super tired this morning and just could not get out of bed at 3:40 AM to get to the pool before work. Makes the day shorter. Now, lunch time swim and after work long run. Rain this afternoon!

4:10 PM: This day really went to shit! Didnt get to the gym for my swim. This is going to be my first missed workout of the 20 week plan. It pisses me off and makes me in a really bad mood. Heading out for long run very soon. I am sure I will be in a better mood after that.

I really dont know why my HR has been so low recently. I would say this run was RPE 6 or 7 yet HR was mainly zone 1, maybe some low zone 2. I have always had this problem on early AM runs like today but this has been recuring over the last week or 2.

Tough ride. Into a 20 MPH wind with gusts into the 30's out to Sullivan. Back was smoking fast and fun!

11:50 AM: I just had a meltdown! I finished eating my normal 500 to 600 calorie lunch and had a wicked carb craving kick in. I ended up eating bowl full of Cocoa Puffs, and THEN a bowl full of sugary goodness that is Peanut Butter Crunch. UGH! There goes another 400 calories of nothingness.

Thankfully today is a pretty big training day and my caloric need is 4800 for the day. I am aiming for 4300 to stay negative.

Home to just past barker on the trail. Hit some snow that I didnt feel like riding throug. Back to stateline, back to the snow and then home.

Todays was clean out the nutrition drawer day. Ate a power bar, 1/2 a snickers marathon, pack of sports benas and 2 20 oz GE. No issues with this grab bag.
