2:30pm - Spinning class at the gym today. When I left the office to go over it was pouring rain out, so there ended up only being 4 of us in spin class.
9:00pm - Tonight my wife and I had our first of four dance lessons that we signed up for a month or so back.

12:30pm - Lap swimming at Boston Sports Club. I had the whole pool to myself for most of the time (which is usually good) but after a while I thought I was going to lose my mind, I was so bored. At some point I need to get a waterproof MP3 player or a waterproof case for my iPod so I can listen to something when I swim.
1:30pm - No, that isn't a typo - I did actually run today. I've been avoiding it because (1) I hate it (2) I suck at it and (3) the pain from my stress fracture flares up whenever I run. But today, I decided that it was time to SUIB and give it a try. So, I cautiously headed to the gym and hopped on the treadmill. After an hour of stationary tedium my foot felt okay, but I'm going to ice it tonight at home just to be careful.
10:00am - This morning I met with my health coach from the wellness center at work. With all of the chaos going on in my life I missed my appointment with her last week, so when I weighed in I was curious to see what the result would be. As a pleasant surprise, I found out that I lost 1.8 pounds in the last two weeks.
10:30am - Today I rode with a good friend of mine who is training for the Pan-Mass Challenge. When I got back into riding around 2001 I used to ride with him from time to time (including doing the PMC), and he always kicked my butt. Within the last few years he's gotten married, had a child and had some injuries that have kept him from riding a lot. When we set up the time to ride, he told me that he needed "someone to kick his butt". Towards the end of the ride we were tooling along on a back road riding side-by-side and chatting, and he told me that the last "3 years of triathlon training has really paid off" and that he was excited to see how far my riding has progressed. That made me feel great, especially as I look forward to my 70.3 race with some anxiety.
9:00am - Met folks from the Dreamfar Triathlon Team for a swim at Walden Pond. Afterwards they were headed out for a ride and then a run, but I had to get back home to set up for my girls' birthday party.
