Ankle and foot is somewhat better.  Had the MRI last night and seeing the doctor at 1 to get final diagnosis.  May try and swim after work since it isn't weight bearing (assuming I am not in a cast).  I'm holding out hope that it is just a bad sprain and will be good to go in 2 week from Saturday.

Good news is nothing is broken.  Bad news is there are some badly sprained ligaments in my foot.  I'm in a walking boot for the next week and then going to get rid of it and see how it feels.  No running until the day of the race.  Looks like lots of biking and swimming for the next couple of weeks.  Brought my stuff to swim after work.

This is not good.  I can't put any weight on my left foot and am in really bad pain.  Going to the doctor at 10:15 today.  I hope nothing is broken.

On crutches and have an MRI at 6:15 tonight.  Really hoping it is just soft tissue\ankle sprain and will heal in the next 2.5 weeks so I can do my race.  Have a follow up with the doctor tomorrow at 1 to read the MRI results.

Great run along the lakefront. Feel pretty good. Have some pain in the top of my left foot, but hopefully it is just temporary.

Going to swim at lunch and then need to take my bike in for a tuneup tonight.

Stayed up a bit too late the night before.  We went to the Helping Hand's Gala with some friends.  Helping Hands is an organization that helps adults and kids with disabilities.  My buddy is on their board and his brother has Down Syndrome.  We got all dressed up and went to the gala.  I scored a Brian Urlacher autographed poster from the auction.

We ended up getting home around midnight and with the time change I couldn't get up early in the morning to workout so I took a rest day.

We had to be in Palatine at Harper College at noon to see my niece in a play.  Nothing like seeing a bunch of 6 to 8 year olds do Beauty and the Beast.

After that we went and got lunch at Rain Forest Cafe in Woodfield mall. We didn't get back to the city until 5:30 and decided to take Polly to the park to play ball.  I had more fun doing that then I would have riding my bike.

Nice run along the lakefront. Was a little cold and windy going south. Got warm when we turned around at Navy Pier and headed back north. Dropped the hammer for the last mile and went 7:26 pace.
