Just missed a PR on the lake run. Ran it in the reverse direction today, not thinking I would have enough for anything like a PR today. Surprised since I hammered on the bike so much last night

Ok, that is a little better :) A drainer ride with the kids eating dinner, but a ride none the less. Thank goodness for Evernesence. Did some hammer drills and kept the RPMS up as much as the kids would allow. They do allow me to work on getting back up to speed quick :)

Nothing yet today. Went to bed feeling kind of sick. Decided more sleep was better. Will see if I can get down durring supper time with the kids.

No energy to workout this morning. Since I usaualy do not workout both days on the weekends, I should have just planned on sleeping in instead of hitting snooze for 2 hours :) What the heck I deserve to do what ever I want on my birthday, well except work. Had to do that so I could save days for more important family events :)

water colder today. 56 Deg., no sun. Took first 250 yards to get warm enough to swim with my face in the water. at about 800 started to hit my stide for form. Struggled to keep my head in the game. Each time I tried to correct form, course, cadence etc, everything else went to pot. Was going to add an extra 400-800, but realized I was having a lot of trouble sighting on my last 400. The storefront I normal site is to the right of a blue house. Could not remeber where the store was anymore. Decided I was gettting too cold to safely stay in the water anymore. Boy did not think 4 degs and no sun could make that much of a difference. The outside temp was about 42.

Glad I did it, but just need to be careful about safety in the water that cold.

ok, just for clarification. I do not swim alone. PERIOD. Had two other trifury nuts pushing me to go with them this morning. Would have not gone if they wanted to back out.

Got up at 5 AM to go ride. Temp outside 33 and frost on the windows of the cars. Big dummy went out with only riding gloves on his hands. By the time I got up to speed my fingers were numb and very pink. Started to loose feeling in them for shifting and breaking. Decided to go home. This gave me a good excuse to get a brick in. Not the ride I wanted, but still a ride with Dulcinea.

Tried to salvagethe workout this morning with a brick. Went for a light run around the neighberhood. Then came the piece de resistance...The town put up a mobile speed trap by a local bridge. Did wind sprints of approximatly 100 yds to see if I could break 11 MPH sprints. I know my sprints are about as fast as the winners at the boston marathons mile times, but still my best :)

First open water swim of the year. Temp was a warm 60 Degs. Air and water :) Little cold the first 30-40 strokes, but fine after that.

Ok, just for clarification... Yesterdays blog in regards to shaving and legs were not connected thoughts. It should have read... While looking in the mirror, shaving my face, I realized that my legs felt remarkably fresh. :) Thanks for reading to much into my grooming habits :)
