two more work days until ragbrai.  super duper excited, cannot wait.

the moonshine gang has been whitled down considerably.  we were a dozen strong, and now we are going to be a small band of six, possibly five.  meh.  it will still be a great time.  plus, with a small group there is a lot more flexibility within the group.  the only downside is that there will be a lot more support driving per person.

wonder how big the ride will be this year.  i know it will be difficult to notice the difference between 16,000 riders and 13,000, but we'll see.  i'm all for shorter lines for breakfast burritos.  perhaps not higher prices....

and, since i am a sentimental wuss, i'm going to miss princess #1 and #2.  they are going to head down to kc with my mom.  they will have a great time, hope they don't miss us too much.

not bad for only having gotten four hours of sleep.

went and saw harry potter last night.  meh.  i was expecting a lot more action, which there was not.  how do you have that kind of movie yet voldemort is not in it at all?  plus, people were laughing way too hard at the littlest things.  maybe it was because of the late hour.
could be the lack of sleep, but i am starting to get ancy about ragbrai.  how am i going to sit through 2.5 more work days?

rode with a friend. he could only ride his tri bike with hed wheels. yeah, he got a flat.

tip - when buying a weather radio, sping the extra cash to get one that will allow you to select which warnings will set off an ear piearcing alarm at 3 am.
