Last work day before the race - yipee! I have a full schedule today, so it should fly by pretty quickly. We won't get to the house until pretty late tonight, but we can sleep in a bit tomorrow anyway. For some reason, I'm really not that concerned about the weather. It's different than Gulf Coast, since we've been training in the high humidity and hot weather for months now (our Monday night bike was around 95 degrees outside). Obviously the 70s sounded better than 80s, but I'm focusing on things I can control and really trying to mentally prepare for this race. I know I am ready to have a great race, I just need to be more on my game this time and focus on the positives.

I didn't get a chance to ride last night - the rest of my list took longer than I though. Plus we have no food in the house now, so we had to go out to grab dinner last night. No big deal - it's not like it helps at this point anyway. We're all packed now - everything is in the car. We go from work straight to the airport for the flight tonight. We decided we're going to rent a GPS from the car rental company - that will much easier when driving in the dark (especially since we are SO used to having one now).

Busy day at work, didn't have any time to get on BT at all today. I'm very excited about this weekend's race, I think it's going to be really fun. I figure I've been training in the heat for the whole summer, so I'm not going to worry about that. I'm just happy the water is warming up!

OMG - I *HEART* my aerohelmet. Seriously, 17.48 on SCT while basically spinning?! Look at my HR average - that's Zone 1 for me (117-146). I can't wait to race. :)

Had a wonderful weekend, good workouts and I'm getting excited about the race next weekend. Oh - and did I mention this is a 4-day workweek too! :)

Nothing too exciting today yet. It should be another busy week, sorry I'm not a good BT friend much anymore! Tonight Kirk and I are going to test out our new aerohelmets on our base ride - last longer ride before this weekend's race! I can't believe it's this weekend - I'm definately ready, I just can't believe it's time!
