Slept in today (day off) then moved furniture for a good chunk of the morning.  Finished just in time to run off to get a swim in.

Too windy to run outdoors. Decided to go to the track with the lady folk. Ironman and I did a slow 13 k with walks at every 10 laps (2km) I was going quite slow but my heart rate still jumped to 150 (Z4) a couple of times, although it didn't wear me out too much. Monotonous run, but got it done!

A couple of pounds heavier this morning. Must have been all the Ethiopian food I gorged on last night. It was worth it. Good company and good food and more kids than you can shake a stick at, all of whom behaved better than adults!

Running today? Maybe...Wind gusts of 76k!

Okay, I have to admit it. Nick made me work today. Some pretty tough sprints on the treadmill with some good core work. He also made me do the equine thing playing horsey...There is a web site for that you know.

What was I saying about time travel?

Somewhere between time travel, tri-club annual meetings and family reunions I didn't get my usual 6 hours of sleep.

But I'm back and looking forward to three days of early rising.

I signed up for this gig.

Okay, I broke down and went on the tread mill. I didn't feel like getting wet. Not this early in the day, at least.

Turned out to be pretty good, did some hills and then some fast sprint work and then just some walking wondering where the hell I am.
I still don't like treadmills. Hip felt a little odd, I almost stopped, but it got better. Toe is back to normal, as normal as any appendage of mine can be.

Finished up with 30 minutes of stretching things out. Pretty good gym at the Four Seasons. Staff are idiots. I had to ask for a towel three times (in three languages (Spanish did the trick - and I don't even speak the language). Every time I went to ask the Hotel "trainer" a question, he would be adjusting his Ipod. He wasn't even cute!

Well, the waking up and going for a run hasn't quite materialized yet as I'm sitting here typing News Releases (press release is an oxymoron, think about it!) and it is raining in buckets, well maybe pails.

I may try it anyway. I don't have the right running clothes for rain...like a car.

I went to see the Georgia O'Keefe ex. at the Art Gallery. It was very uplifting. I went to the Gallery alone and would just sit on the provided benches and look at the art work and participate in the projected sequences...

All the security dudes were very nervous about me, and I got some furtive glances from some of the female patrons, and one male. It must be the hair.

Just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean they are not watching me!

After sitting on my ass for 4 days, finally walked around Raincouver and realized how much I detest namebrand, big label commercialism.
I spent a considerable amount of time in a bunch of Goth stores with a colleague looking for gifts for her spouse, not all of which he would wear.

I think I want to rethink my wardrobe. I saw some wonderfully tight tri top-like garments made of rubber. Very, ummmm, body hugging.
