Okay I'm now swimming on my side and doing a whole bunch of fancy stuff like "breaching" my hips...My breathing still sucks, even when it blows, but I'm getting there. Jason is breaking me down and I'm slowly becoming the dog paddler I've always wanted to be.
BT around the world Core work...2/3 of it, I wasn't feeling up to it this morning.
Stretching afterwards.

Woke up to a darker than normal house. Major Powerfailure...Then when the power came back on, the tv turned on and I had to scramble to turn it off.
Threw me off a bit...Felt very sluggish this morning...Tendon still tender. Not very verbowe - me or the tendon.
Good swim in Masters class. I am starting to feel faster and sleeker...problem is I can't get my breathing right and I can't count while I swim, so I have no idea if I am really getting better of just feel more confident.
Jason will tell me tomorrow in my one on one.
Core strength and arms and other odd things with Matt. Amber was away.
I think the class is called Bend and pull, or bend and relax, or something.
Not a bad class, easy after Brendan's
tendon on inside of right knee still "sharp pain" sore. Stretched a bit on the rollers. And iced it.
Now I face another week. Last week I elbowed it, and the week before I toed it, so using my face is somewhat appropriate at this point.
Back to core work this morning. I'm still sore from Brendan and running with crazy John. I have an unknown this morning, Amber is away. This is followed by swimming at lunch.
I have a new pain in a previously unfelt tendon beside my knee. I iced it all of yesterday. We'll see what pleasure it brings me today.
Ran with John...He's a lunatic...negative split with sprint at the end.
First wife ran with G...Things are looking up!
HRM (Garmin) started a t 220, before i was even running!! no ipod. hmmm.
Great Sunday morning RR run...Faster than I expected. Pleased.
Glorious morning.
After a lengthy discussion, not all of which I found agreeable, I have decided to limit my online time...My regrets to the many who visit.
This too shall pass.
White Butte off road with John and Pat.
First time on Cyclocross in years! They were on MTB, I felt so strong and fast on cyclocross - even though it had a fender and rack. Skinny wheels were a little difficult in the deep sand. Great ride, had a lot of fun, much more fun than being on the highway, which is what I was planning. Some good, high intensity hill climbing...I'll do this again!
One of those days I just can't get organized.
I got a new cell phone yesterday and it took me three hours to get all my numbers and stuff into it...who would have thunk 4 numbers would take so long...maybe I should have used a sharper pencil. It is a really fancy one, so it scares me a little. It has a bigger brain than me.
I also had some Ethiopian food again yesterday. mmmmmm. Babyfood never tasted so good (it is actually amazing, it is the consistency and texture that takes some getting used to Ga ga!)
Today I might do something I haven't done in a very long tiime. No, I did that yesterday, I still have the window open...whew!
I might take my ol' trusted cyclocross bike out and pretend it is a mountain bike. If you don't hear from me again, I'll be lost in a butte somewhere...or perhaps had my computing privileges revoked.
If I thought my arms were sore this morning....More interesting work with Jason and the Masters' class. Pat kept grabbing my ankle and John kept splashing my sensitive face...It's like grade school all over again. Still struggling with my breathing now that Jason has forced me to change it. I am getting stronger and if I can get my breathing right, I know I can just sail through that water...It'll come!
Killer workout with Brendan. Lots of wacko arm stuff...skipping, tricep pulls, boxing...medicine ball throws. I can't feel my arms. Perfect for the swim at lunch.
I felt strong though!
Focused on trying to stretch out the pain from my achilles tendons on the rollers. There were some serious lumps in there!
Quick little run...it was supposed to be leisurely. Felt pretty good. It was miserable out, but good for a run. On last leg of run - return home- I came close to bonking...I got that ralphy feeling...walked it off and then ran again. No worries.
HRM up to 240 again and wouldn't come down. I turned it off and started it up again...6 minutes lost...but voila! it worked!
Both Achilles tendons are very , very sore...but only started hurting after the run. I'm stretching now...no ice in the house.
Stretching painful Achilles.
