Ugg. Lower leg pain was back with a vengeance last night and this morning. Today I'm doing nothing...probably. As I recall, I had issues just like this before Chinook half Iron last year too.... I'm not too stressed. I wanted to run about 30k yesterday, but I've run the half distance. Have done my T.I.T.S and have already done the OWS...I just need to put it all together. Ugg.

First OWS at Regina beach. Felt great. Shoulders a little sore, not used to the tightness of the suit.
Water was perfect temperature. Cold...but nice with the suit.
Got hit by a Thunderstorm on way back. Had to to pull off the highway because there was too much rain to see.

Oh, and First Born won the 200m sprint and is now attending the tri-province meet in July in Medicine Hat Alberta.
That boy travels more than me!

PM update. Ankle is feeling 100% better after ice...WTF? Sore lower leg. Just above the right ankle...Sharp pain. Started late last night...I'm thinking it's Brendan's fault. And maybe the long bike ride brought it out...I'm icing and resting today...No running on that. Crap!

Road to Southey from home.
Bombed out there at about 38k/hr and caught up to Mark R 10 k from Southey. Slowed down and had a great chat with him into town. Rode back solo against the wind. I wilted a bit. I think it was the heat...I just felt kinda blah, but felt good.

Got back just in time to take FB to Track.

He won.

He continues to be the fastest Midget in Saskatchewan.

Her neck got a little sore, not used to the position.

Where were all the boys today...It was just Aiden and me with all the usual mostly very buff and strong women. Hmmmm.

I can't feel my arms. After the climbing we also did pull ups and other lifty things and...wait for it...thank got for vertimax. Can you believe I actually welcomed the vertimax so I could rest my worn out arms a little.
I was going to swim today....I don't think so, unless I only do kick drills.

That was really hard. Trouble getting started, but it got easier.
Didn't have the left foot/shoe problem I had yesterday.
Stopped and spent some time with FW who was just finishing her bike clinic, then I ran home with her as a pace booty :)

I like what I was able to pull off last night, despite a long workday.
Let's see what magic today will bring.
I have to be at a powwow...yes a powwow! to take pictures, let's see how that messes up my schedule.
Although I'm kinda looking forward to the spectacle!

oi that was hard. Really hard to get going. kept an okay pace, but not terribly fast. Really glad I did it. Just ran and ran. Something wrong with my left shoe, my left foot pad on my foot felt like I had a stone on it...and now I have a bit of a bruise. Shoes are still good. This is a little disconcerting.
But at least I did this.

Still on a bit of a buzz from First Born getting recognized yesterday at his high school athletics awards...
I have to get in gear and start training again. I've let this crappy weather continue to get the best of me.
