Well, That was windy. Rode out to Southey into a headwind, quick turnaround and then back home with a swirly side/tailwind. It was a good ride. Not as fast as I wanted, but there is no such thing as a bad 100k + ride.

First ride of this distance this season with my tri shorts...ouch...sore taint!
Had to do a lot of standing, but I was just getting used to this lack of padding.

Rested up this morning. Didn't want a repeat of last week's leg incident. It is feeling might fine now. I've planned to take the afternoon off for a little bike ride. Of course, the wind is blowing (and swirling) like their is no tomorrow out there. Sigh.

I tentatively think that all systems are go with the leg. No ill effects (yet) after yesterday's run. I'm going to try a ride today and planning for a long ride tomorrow with a brick. I think I'm going to skip Brendan in the morning. I have an early meeting that I need to get to.

Really slow run with Mark on trail at Regina Beach. 28c This was great for getting myself back into running.
It was really hot, but good.
I can't believe how slow that was. LOL!

Just getting used to the Wet suit again. Felt tight, but good.

Leg felt better yesterday...slight tinge today... I'm going to take one more day off, although I may swim. I don't know what I will do about Brendan on Friday...

Went for a swim, to get my extra energy dealt with, since I'm not running or biking right now.

Ugg. Lower leg pain was back with a vengeance last night and this morning. Today I'm doing nothing...probably. As I recall, I had issues just like this before Chinook half Iron last year too.... I'm not too stressed. I wanted to run about 30k yesterday, but I've run the half distance. Have done my T.I.T.S and have already done the OWS...I just need to put it all together. Ugg.

First OWS at Regina beach. Felt great. Shoulders a little sore, not used to the tightness of the suit.
Water was perfect temperature. Cold...but nice with the suit.
Got hit by a Thunderstorm on way back. Had to to pull off the highway because there was too much rain to see.

Oh, and First Born won the 200m sprint and is now attending the tri-province meet in July in Medicine Hat Alberta.
That boy travels more than me!

PM update. Ankle is feeling 100% better after ice...WTF? Sore lower leg. Just above the right ankle...Sharp pain. Started late last night...I'm thinking it's Brendan's fault. And maybe the long bike ride brought it out...I'm icing and resting today...No running on that. Crap!

Road to Southey from home.
Bombed out there at about 38k/hr and caught up to Mark R 10 k from Southey. Slowed down and had a great chat with him into town. Rode back solo against the wind. I wilted a bit. I think it was the heat...I just felt kinda blah, but felt good.

Got back just in time to take FB to Track.

He won.

He continues to be the fastest Midget in Saskatchewan.

Her first ride with the "new" bike onto the TransCanada highway.
She's got the skills...just needs to build her stamina.
