Needed to get that run outta my system.

24c and humid. Felt good, but took a while to get into my groove.

Three water stops at park fountains.

Could have gone further. Ran out of time.

Taper time.

More fun and exciting yard work after taking a nap

All that volunteering and race watching was hard work.

PM Update: Well she finished a little below mid pack A great little race. I'm very proud of her. Her bike ride was none too shabby! FW races her first ever Try-a-tri this morning.

Oh the wind! The Wind. Crap that was hard...Had to stop myself a couple of times and do a system check. Felt kinda woozy.
Wind was swirling. Headwind on way out and wind everywhere, gusting to about 70k on way back.
Never have watermelon the night before a ride. I had to pee 6 times!

During one break, a Mountie stopped beside me and asked if I had seen a body covered in blood. Apparently there had been reports that there was one. LOL Maybe it was a zombie.

That was a hard, demoralizing ride.
But I got it done.
Check out my pace...that is just laughable!

I'm thinking about a little ride.

Great OWS with a bunch of fellow triathletes with whom I'm racing next week and will also be at IMC.
Felt fast, slick. confident!

Another late night turns into another no training day...Crap. I have to stop living this rock and roll lifestyle. Maybe a swim tonight.

Went home for lunch and mowed and watered the jungle.

It is one of those days when I have to do other stuff. No training today.

OWS with George. Took it really slow as George got used to his suit and acclimatized to his first time out. He eventually caught on and we had a really good set, albeit shorter than I hoped. No idea what the distance was, at least 1000m

Holy headwind batman.
Rode straight into the beast along highway one. Took me just over 1:15hr to get 30k at about 24k/hr. I flew back at between 36 and 40k/hr whoopee! Didn't push my biggest gear, instead I tried to stay at or near 90rpm while maintaining 38-41k/hr
