Nice gentle Canada Day run with FW around the lake. It was her idea. All very good.

More fun and exciting yard work after taking a nap

All that volunteering and race watching was hard work.

PM Update: Well she finished a little below mid pack A great little race. I'm very proud of her. Her bike ride was none too shabby! FW races her first ever Try-a-tri this morning.

Oh the wind! The Wind. Crap that was hard...Had to stop myself a couple of times and do a system check. Felt kinda woozy.
Wind was swirling. Headwind on way out and wind everywhere, gusting to about 70k on way back.
Never have watermelon the night before a ride. I had to pee 6 times!

During one break, a Mountie stopped beside me and asked if I had seen a body covered in blood. Apparently there had been reports that there was one. LOL Maybe it was a zombie.

That was a hard, demoralizing ride.
But I got it done.
Check out my pace...that is just laughable!
