10c morning. Tried out my new TriTeamRegina Tritop...under a long sleeved shirt and with tights...
Good little run. felt tired and sluggish but picked it up in the 2nd half. HR never got about 140
It was a good day to swim...just to clear my mind. A little shoulder pain near the end, but worked through it and now just my triceps are sore as usual...as are my legs.
4x500yards
500 flippers drill
500 pull buoy.
Spinning to get the legs nice and loose. Got kinda distracted when I found a backpack (empty) in good shape on the highway. Second Born needed one. It is cool.
Because of that I doubled back and lost about 5k and 3 or 4 km/hour. But I don't mind, the objective was just to have an easy ride.
It is all good.
I guess I'm a triathlete now.
The usually bored looking lifeguards looked miserable today as the rain fell and they had little to no shelter.
The swim was great as only the dedicated and zany showed up to swim. Even the World Champion was there in his wet suit!
4x500yards steady
3x50 fast
50 easy
Ride to/from work.
Really heavy legs...didn't feel like running. Just as I was thinking about turning around, I decided to go offroad. Running on the trail forced me to pay attention to my step and not my tired legs, upped my pace tremendously and finished very strong and very fast.
Little swimmy swim to loosen up after the weekend.
3x500
50 BS
50 FAST.
Man that was windy. Very strong crosswinds and a 35k/hr headwind on the last 8k home. Fun fun fun. Just put my head down and peddled. High cadence the whole way.
1000 times better than not doing anything.
Run around the hills at Pasqua Lake. Lots of hills on this route. Hot hot hot. Must have been around 27 and humid. Was a bit of a challenge. Then I had to have a "nature break" Thank goodness for trees...I wasn't sure what the leaves growing on the ground...
hard run, but got through it and felt great afterwards.
It has been a hard few days. I'm tired.
Well. that was pleasant. I just love that pool and the weather was spectacular. Note to self, next time used smoked lenses.
Arms started to get a little sore and I started to get a little dizzy after 3000. It got better.
4x1000yards
6x100 drill with flippers
500 pull buoy.
Yikes!
My swim is ready.
