Drove home (two dozen farm eggs to pick up at work) at lunch then rode back to work.
ah, wind, my old friend.
Ride home from work. Uneventful other that the drivers that tried to kill me and the guy in the pick up truck that yelled HI as I was making a fast dangerous turn in full traffic. No I did not know him. He tried to distract me, I guess.
Back to Brenden and Level 10. Ahhh...normalcy.
Thought about getting up for another Newton Run...Didn't. 4C this morning.
Rode my bike into work instead. A little nipply.
Return ride home from work.
Newton Run.
Holy crap...these are fast.
right calf was sore near the end. Ran on forefeet, every time I settled on my heal, I could really feel it.
This was fun. I don't know if I could sustain this over distance though...
Extra emphasis on shins and calves.
Had to get some speed out of me.
First few K realized that I was running on my forefeet exclusively. No calf pain. Eventually settled down to old form...but a hybrid of it. Never slowed down.
No HRM, but I was conscious that my heart was going pretty fast.
Good run. Have to increase the mileage now, and play with the Newtons.
Slow, deliberate run with FW.
Tried out the Newtons again. Hmmmm, starting to feel interesting.
FW's first run since her tri.
She did pretty well!
I concentrated on my landings and tried something new by keeping my hands down, or closer to my waist - trying to relax my shoulders.
Good run.
