Hill run at lunch.

The doctor adjusted the medication by cutting the dose in half. I will try this for a week and see how I feel. If there are still too many side effects, I will start the taper off this medication and decide if I want to try a different drug.

STILL adjusting to the medication. Going for a follow-up doctor appointment today. I am going to see if the dose can be lowered, or possibly going off of it all together. Feeling tired, headache, and just really flat. I know the medication is working because I don't have anxiety, but I don't have any emotions. This is too extreme.

Skipped the swim this morning - again. Not like me at all. :-(

Run 1. Run up steep boat ramp out of Harris Creek to the bike transition. Tough run. Hills. Dirt and some deep sand. Big climb up the second boat ramp to get into transition. Very slow for me. Just couldn't get moving.

Very slow riding in and out of the park/campgrounds. Lots of sharp turns and narrow roads. I am not a technical rider. I played it safe and went slow. The bike course is beautiful! Very tough. HUGE climbs. 6,000 ft of climbing. I was fine going uphill, but I HATE downhill. I rode the brakes and went very slow. Did a good job with cadence. I felt that I could have biked a little harder. I didn't know the course, so I played it safe not to over-bike.

Crazy run. Trail. Very dust and huge hills. I just didn't have it. My legs were not tired. I was comfortable in the hot temperature. Not sure why, but I felt very untrained.

Total time (including 3 transitions) 6:32:51.
Not my best race, but I enjoyed the Wildflower experience. A very challenging, but beautiful course.

Finished the drive to Wildflower. Check in and bike drop off around 4PM. Dinner and in bed around 9.
