IM Louisville bike.

Pretty much spot on with what I expected. 224 AP was exactly where I wanted to be. May have gone a bit harder at the start and a bit harder at the start of the loop 2. But overall a pretty even bike.

The last 10 miles I started suffering a bit. My power dropped to around 205 and I felt like I was still biking hard. I probably should have backed off even more and got in bunch of nutrition. But instead I tried to bike harder. Set myself up for a terrible run.

Death march.

First few miles were fine but very quickly realized I was in trouble. By mile 6 I was steadily slowing and starting to feel dizzy and sick. Mile 10-12 was the transition phase where I started to come to terms with a terrible run. Then I started walking every half mile or so and taking in fluids and nutrition. I considered bailing but just took things one mile at a time. Only goal was to get to the next aid station. This went on until mile 20 or so where I started feeling a bit better. The middle miles were 10-15 min/mile pace. Last 10K I was 8-9 min/mile.

Surprising to say but I think I was dehydrated. It was 40 at the start and I don't think I considered the hydration needs at that temperature. I noticed that I hardly drank between some aid stations. Probably not a great idea even at 40-50. I only started feeling better on the run after walking quite a bit and drinking a bunch.
