Excellent run at lunch today! My legs felt strong through the entire run. This got me in a little trouble, as I quickly got above my aerobic HR range without even noticing it! LOL I decided to just run. I pushed a bit harder for the last 1/3 mile or so to get in under 45 minutes. 71 degrees when I finished.

Great run in the bag!  I might need to do a bit of checking because I have not run this fast for 5.33 miles very often.  Might be a new PR.... ;)  Today's overall workout rating goes from a 4 to a 5.  :)

Tonight's Hurricane's game will feature a great intermission performance.  Alex's Mites hockey team will be playing for a few minutes at the RBC Center, on the same ice that the Canes and Devils were just skating on.  All of us are very excited.  It's going to be a blast!  :)

Oh, and the Canes are once again tied for the best record in the Eastern Conference with the Senators.  Both teams have 4 games left with the Canes holding the tie breaker edge over the Sens. 

LET'S ROCK, BABY!!!  :)

More good news!!  The schedule will work, so I'm registered for my first race of the year!  Look out at the Riverwood Sprint Tri!  Everyone else will now have to fight over 2nd place for "Most Fun In the Race"!  ;)

OK, I'm planning to run after the Canes game tonight and to get up early tomorrow morning for a bike trainer ride.  Help keep me honest, guys!  I've had enough lazy time the last few days.  :)

There is something very gratifying about finishing what feels like a very slow run, only to find that I'm still under (barely) 9:00/mile.  :)

My legs were very tired today, right from the start, but no soreness anywhere.  I hope to get in a bike trainer ride early one morning this weekend.  All of the kids will be with us so there likely won't be a chance for any other workouts.  Still, I'm very pleased with my week.  :)
