My left arm is so sore!!! It's where I had my tetanus injection last thursday and it's still sore. Maybe I landed funny on it on Monday when I crashed but sheez... It hurts. ;_; Dunno how it's going to go in the swim on Sunday considering the muscle is protesting that I can't rotate her fully. :(

I was chatting to one of the post docs at work about it and one of the medicos walked by and said the pain could last up to two weeks if it was from the tetanus shot. Well that's just great.

Funny thing is though that I swam 2km on saturday and it didn't hurt at all. Why has it decided to belt me now??

NEED CHOCOLATE NOW!!!!  O_O  Going fairly insane over here... Gimme chocolate.................

I'm commuting to work. I had a green light. I'm going STRAIGHT. Cars had slowed because it was peak hour.

At the pedestrian crossing (where they need to wait for the green man) is another biker waiting to cross. He stops. So I speed up to get through the intersection because I had the green (and the lights change too damn fast!)

Then all of a sudden he GOES!!!! Right in front of me. I HAD THE RIGHT OF WAY! HE HAD THE RED MAN!!!

Smashed into him. He was a total idiot.

I'm okay. The bike's okay. He came off second best. He was VERY apologetic and I said to him "You're bloody lucky I wasn't a car mate!"

Guess I was due for a crash after the close call on sunday

Last week I was feeling pretty down to the point where I broke down in tears that my job was going nowhere and I had no idea what I was doing there.

After some "emergency career councilling" by FH, I discovered that my thought process at that point was all wrong.  I was being asked WHY!!!

I am NOT a WHY thinker.  I am a HOW thinker.   I don't care what the answer to the question is I just need to figure out how to get there!  I guess that's why I enjoy my managerial work rather than my science.

Scientists ask WHY??

Managers ask HOW!

I think that's why I like triathlon so much.  It's all about the journey not the destination right?
