So since this is a mini taper week, I didn't want to do what was planned.  So I thought I would do something a little different, but before I started I didn't know what that would be.  So I took off and I had a bit of a tail wind and next thing I know I'm up to about 22.  So the little guy on my shoulder says "tempo ride" so that is what I did.  Pushed it up the little hills we have around here, getting out of the saddle and getting the HR up a little, and then getting back down and into aero on the flats.  Didn't want o push it too hard, but did want to do a little fun ride before the weekend.  I enjoyed it.

Nice easy ride this morning and will do the swim tonight.  Saw a little fawn this morning.  Couldn't be more than a month old. Cute little thing.  Other than an interesting head wind coming home, it was a glorious ride.  I really like early morning rides like this. Watching the sun come up, seeing all the wild life.  THIS is living.  ;)

I think the scale at the gym is off.  no way I've lost that much weight.
