Easy run from home. Pace was good, but just felt slightly off/sloppy/sluggish.

Woohoo, no fracture.  Prob just deep bruising and aggrevated the tendon that runs across the arm and controls the thumb.

The ortho was a Wilkes grad and was one year ahead of me.  We spent more time talking about W-B that we did about my wrist.

All easy. Plan was to do 45' but I didn't have the time.

So.....I think I may have fractured my L radial styloid process.  Long story short, when removing my R pedal last night I slammed my arm into the 53 tooth ring.  (very stupid, I know better)  Ouch.  I cleaned myself up, finished packing my bike, Laura's bike, folded some laundry, packed, etc...and it just seemed like a bruise.  I woke up in the middle of the night and it was throbbing.  It's ever so slightly swollen now.

I did some research on Dr offices when I got up, jumped on the trainer while waiting for the office to open and then started calling at 8:30.  Wasn't able to get in today (0 for 3), but I do have an 8:30 AM appt with a hand / upper extremity ortho specialist.  They have x-ray onsite so I will know one way or the other.  Hopefully the wrist is ok, b/c I know from previous experiences that the wrist needs to heel in a particular way to not have long term issues.  My plan right now is to throw a brace on and/or tape, and race.

Was going to do a short run over lunch, but with getting in late, it's not going to happen.  Massage after work.

Good swim.

Fun, but busy weekend.

Friday, I slipped going up the steps (stupid socks) and bruised the top of my shin quite nicely.  I can constantly feel it when sitting around, but do not feel it on the bike and it's only a slight annoyance on the run.

Friday night we did dinner with my sister and some friends in Bryn Mawr.  Then out for drinks.  Didn't get home until just after 1 and bed a bit later.  Then up relatively early to get workouts in on Sat morning.  Then Saturday day we went to see the Trans Siberian Orchestra with Laura fam...not my cup of tea.  Then we hosted everyone for dinner.  Up late again with Matt and Christy.  Sunday, I get up and run.  Dad shows up late morning with new duel-fuel range.  Realize it's going to be a big project as I need to change the breaker and wiring from 30 amp / 10 gauge, to 40 amp / 8 gauge.  All-in-all the range wasn't done until 7:30ish.

I did manage to redo the cabling on Laura's brakes.  Bikes will be packed tonight.
