Swam to first turn buoy and back to get acclimated to the water in Lucky Peak. Water temp is 60 degrees. uh, cold. I did start to feel ok after about 5 minutes out there.

Walked up and down the hill at the dam to take bike to T1

Hey everyone. I have been busy here in Boise. We have gone to the zoo, Birds of Prey, The Discovery Center and the Old Penitenary. Emily is with us so some family activities are on the sked.

Took a dip in the lake today. I have the hood, wetsuit and some wetsocks I purchased up here. Also some ear plugs. My hands and face were cold for the first 5 mins or so then it became bearable. I'll have 5 mins to get used to the water in the morning.

Drove the bike course yesterday and lets just say thar are some hills. We will see how it goes.

The run course will be great. Flat and shady as we run on the Boise riverbelt.

Temp should be about 78-80 tomorrow. 

Travel day is here. We fly out tonight and arrive at 11:30pm. This will be a long day. I just found out a friend from CA is also racing. Hopefully, we can meet up.

I stopped by Tribe yesterday for some wetsuit booties. No dice but I did pick up a wetsuit hood/hat. I hear the water temp is less than 60. I am a wimp for cold water but will just have to suck it up.

Today has an easy 15 min swim on the sked. Really, it is just getting wet and swimming some laps. This is low on my priority list as I have to pack and get organized for the trip.

Swim session after bike and run.

Today was suppose to be easy but it was'nt. My body is still sore from Total Conditioning on Saturday. Here is how the workout went. 10 min bike, 10 min run. Repeat 2x each. I then followed it up with a 15 min swim in the outdoor pool. I think tomorrow calls for some of the same. I was in zone 2-3 for most of the workout. My body is sore though

Sorry, I have not been active on BT for a few days. Just busy with job searching and such.

We leave for Boise on Wednesday for a week. We plan to have a nice relaxing week up there aside from the race. The temps call for low of mid 50s and highs about 74. That should be nice. My concern is the cold a$$ water in the lake and being wet to start the bike ride. My goal for the race is to have fun, be safe and finish before the clocks are turned off.

We saw Indiana Jones the other day not bad. I have a new fav song. I will possess your heart by Death Cab for Cutie. Good Stuff
