Scheduled rest day today, so no running. Tomorrow is suppose to be an 8 mile run, but I am heading to Nashville with my son to see Weird Al Yankovich, so Sat's run will be a sunday run instead. I am already seeing how training for a marathion could be much harder than a triathlon in some ways due to the amount of running I am doing! This week is a short week compared to what I have coming up!

First real run after Ironman Branson, felt ok. I am ready to tackle the challenge of this marathon and ready to run!

Tomorrow starts my marathon training. I was going to wait until Oct 1, but I feel pretty good after my HIM, that I think it is best to start a week earlier. Looking at the plan I am using, I will be running alot more, which makes me worry about injury. This plan has me running on Tues, Wed, Thurs and Sat, with cross training on Sunday. Some weeks will be 40+ miles, so I hope to be smart about it and not injure myself. I am really looking forward to this challenge though.
