So glad my Key Speed workout is done for the week. So glad Ironman did not take my run speed either :) 27 hours of sleep in the last 2 days helped my Recovery immensely.

Race Report is done. :)

according to

Louisville 2012 Results Analysis

The 2227 finishers of 2012 Ironman Louisville appear to have tackled the harshest conditions of the last four years, with 14% DNS rate, an incredibly high 14% DNF rate, and the highest average time since 2009: 13:41. If the conditions in the 2010 race were considered highly extreme, but 2012 may have even been worse. Needless to say, Ironman Louisville remains ranked near the top of our Toughest Ironman Triathlon ratings
P.S. Compared to the humidity I ran in here on Long Island and down in Orlando, I didn't think it was that hot out!

Everyone on this site is so awesome.  Thanks so much for everyone's friendship, kindness, teamwork and inspiration.  I drove 840 miles home yesterday and I am SHOT today :).  Completely wiped out.  Me and my family had such a blast in Louisville.  And the race was great.  I executed 'My Plan' to perfection on the Swim and Bike, and the first 10k of the Run, even; but around Mile 8 my stomach and GI system just wouldn't cooperate.  What are yah gonna do? I hung with it, saw my family at mile 14 and started to regroup; other athletes, volunteers and fans helped me - and I Got R Done ... and I had a blast on the second lap after my stomach started letting me take cola and broth in.  So damn satisfying to pull out of a tailspin and finish up as best I could.  Outstanding Finish Line experience to boot.  This whole trip was a Life Experience Adventure.  I'll have an RR up in a day or so.

I made a list of everything I needed for every bag, and wrote out a detailed nutrition plan.  HERE'S PROOF! :)

I had no idea how cool Louisville is.  So damn cool

Here's some photo's I took.  My iPhone camera sucks though.  Time for a new phone soon.

Out & Back on River Rd. Took River Rd out. Really flat and then hit the first two climbs. Hills were exactly like we have on the North Shore of Long Island. Short and semi-steep; but nothing long.

I'm ready to hit a HOMERUN on Sunday :)
