Fred at LTF...little of every thing...felt GREAT!

Now that was a nice little run.  Felt good and relaxed, the hr monitor actually worked, and no icky stomach.  BUT...the bank sign said 60 degrees...on August 27 at 10:49am?  WTF?  Where the heck did the summer weather get off to? 

Off to get Brian the 7th grade schedule, and work with ''s gonna hurt...I just know it! :-)

*Why is it harder to go a 10:10 min mile pace on a treadmill than it is to 9:10 outside?  Why?????*

Rode and ran in the rain with hr monitor is crapping out on me, so no hr info, and of course, the bike computer was persnickity, but Dave knew the distance.  Apart from almost wiping out on a downhill where I crossed the paint line, it was a pretty nice ride... wet and dirty, but nice!  The brick felt good, after yesterdays crapper run.  It's a little late in the season, but  I should really do more short bricks like that!  :-)  Guess on the run distance...the garmin is packed for Rangers big adventure! Go Ranger Go!

The house deal is off...went back through the property and decided against the buy.  Tom has never been iffy before on a property, so we are trusting his gut on this one.  I know he'll find another property for us to invest in,so I'm good with it. 

The birds were flying in flocks today...usually I really enjoy watching them, but I know what it means, and I'm not ready....I'm not ready for autumn colors, football or sweaters.  :-(

Quite possibly one of my worst runs ever.  4  hours sleep and an upset empty stomach...not pretty.  The hamstrings were tight today too.  High heart rate at slow pace...ehhhh.  Hit the stop button on the garmin 2 minutes in and didn't figure it out for quite a while...I have some serious issues with being the master of my technology! Going to take a nap and hope I feel better when I wake up.

The race report is least I got something done when I was up too late last night.

My legs were a little tight after running around, doing laundry etc. today so I hit LTF for a little teeny bit of pool time, so I could hit the bubble tub afterwards!Laughing  Ahhhhhhhhh!  I think I was in the bubble tub relaxing almost as long as I swam!Innocent  Hee Hee!  Overall, the quads were a bit sore, and the glutes, but not too bad really! Yay!

To quote the Awesome Smoak...THE BIG O BABY!  Done!  Yay! 

I had a GREAT race today!  I drafted in the swim for the first time (thank you swimmer lady!), stuck to my plan on the bike, and had enough in the tank to have a pretty darn good run for me at the end!!!  I placed 3rd overall female to boot!  SWEET!  A great way to end my season!

Kimm placed 2nd overall female for the Sprint!  Way to go Captain!  And the FAST ladies who did the oly got ag places as well!!!

I had SOOO much fun with Sue and George last night!  We met up at packet pickup, Sue and I drove the course, got some snacks (can you say candy?) and had amazing pizza for dinner, then to cap off the night, watched the Lions SUCK till 9.  :-) 

Sue is the BOMB!  She got pelted with rain on the bike AND the run and came into the finish shoot smiling!  That girl RAWKS!!! 

3d had me as a sprinter, didn't switch me to oly and Greg got it all cleared up for me, but I don't know my splits and the technology was wonky again today.  :-(  Overall time was 2:35:30! 

Can I say thank you to all my friends who called, texted, inspired and sent me MOJO today(and all season long!)!?!?  I am so lucky to have you all rooting for me!!!  It means the WORLD to me!!!!  THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!

Got my new snappy red and black helmet and my bike computer was working today...good omens I am sure!  

I decided to stay in PH so I am running around getting packed today...I will drive the bike course once more and possibly ride the run course.  Then I'm gonna take a swimmy in the hotel pool for FUN!  :-)

I woke up at 4am HUNGRY!!!  Unbelievable!!!  I have been soooo hungry these past few days...I don't get it!?! I eat...I mean I EAT!  If you know me at all, you know I LOVE TO EAT!  So what gives?  Pasta for dinner tonight to carbo load for Sunday...and maybe for lunch too....maybe then I can sleep through the night with no food!!!

Today is supposed to be off, but I may do a few t2 practices for good measure.  Freak...thats me.  Tongue out *did a couple transition practices with quick rides and runs from home.   It went eh. Speed on the computer ( and time) won't work.  HR monitor showed 205 as the hr when I started issues once again.  Got the garmin cadence thing, but will have to take the cateye completely off to use it...not sure if I want to monkey with it all so close to a race. Maybe I will...maybe I won't!*

Howard the pontoon is getting a new "head" for the engine.  The line from the shop  now is that we SHOULD have it back in the water next Friday...yeah, right   (AUGUST29th for Pete's sake!)  .  I'd love to get my hopes up, but no...I won't.  Time will tell.
