Rough morning and a bad attitude.  Vo2 max pretty much took that out.  Sooooo wanted to quit.  From the very first set.  Soooo wanted to.  Almost did...twice.  But I just could not do it.  Couldn't face the rest of the day as a quiter, so I didn't.  Whew.  Soooo glad I didn't.  That was one hell of a mental and physical work out today.   I had a much better afternoon after the evil run was done and lunch was had with the Fabulous Smoak.  :)  We had a large helping of laughter and I smiled all afternoon.  Thanks Sue! :)

Sooo, I tried out the nerd helmet today.  Boy I was lookin' spiffy in my UA top, fraser trisuit and running tights on top with that aero helmet!  LOL!  It was pretty windy so I was glad for any less drag I could get.  Even if I could have won a dork award wearing it. 

After last nights crapper drilling in the pool I was planning on taking Brian to swim for a little while just to do really basic drilling after his late trumpet lesson, but we needed to get him new shoes (outgrew the old ones!) for his concert on Thursday.  I've chosen painting my toes and early to bed instead.  I'm still sleep deprived from the trip and last nights late workout.  Bedfordshire, here I come!

Decent bike, good to be back in the lab.  Sucky swim.  Very pissed when I left the pool deck.  Theraputic ice cream has been administered, and I feel a tad better.

Awesome swim focused on drills.  Did the little trick Tony told me about, and when I focused, it seemed to work.  DPS was 19 for 4, 18 for 3 and 17 for the last one!  Woo Hoo!  Not bad for me in a 25 meter pool at all! 

Showered, dressed in bike kit and took off for the lab.  Ate a kashi bar in the car and that was NOT wise.  Gave me a gut ache to go along with my threshold pain.  Ow.  Did ok on the first 3 sets, and kinda fell apart on the last 3.  Not a total loss like the last time I did threshold, but not really where I was supposed to be either.  I will get my legs back on the bike...yes, yes I will.  :)  No residual ickys or owies from yesterday's crapper run.  That's cool and I'll take it. 

Off to the ortho, then it's time to pack for the trip to Chicago with the orchestra kids.  Up at 4:45 with no race is JUST WRONG!!!  :)
