48 today. What a difference a day makes!

decent sleep at least. Temps dumped like 40 degrees overnight! Was 48 when I went for my run!

Big day tomorrow. Will swim at Mott, then drive to meet the boys at Stony. Legs felt decent today so hopeful for a good day tomorrow.

Charging the did, getting my kit and nutrition all planned and put out and working on Aspen and Maine details. Busy friday!

Not quite. HOT-WINDY and slept like crap. Took more walk breaks than wanted, but needed them. Took prehyrdate before and I think it helped with the heat not totally killing me. Ugh.

did repeats from spring mill and back. not a bad way to do them with less up/down to deal with. Edco wheels did really well in all the cross winds. It was somewhat protected, but still very windy. Happy with that!

supposed to be z2 out z3 back. Did the best I could, and it was not that.

Got some bad news on my run today. My sissy had to put down her 4 year old Bichon, little Miss Dixie. She had lost the use of her hind legs, was told it was neuro yesterday and saw a specialist today. She had a very large mass that moved her bones and was pressing on her spine. The vet said he could operate but not get clean margins which would mean it would come back. It was very aggressive...became debilitating over a month. So sad. She chose to do what was best for Dixie as she was in a lot of pain. I burst into tears when she told me. Still not over losing my pup last January, and now Dixie. My sissy took her to buy flowers yesterday and she rode in the cart while she shopped. Today she is planting those flowers as a Dixie garden. Heart wrenching. :(

drove straight from pool. Beautiful early evening to be on the trail!

Beautiful sunny day, but I was pretty crabby. Paid bills in the am and had to trouble shoot quite a few things, plus computer issues. Grrr. Ran a bunch of errands and finally got to the pool a 5pm after a scenic detour through Pontiac form construction! Glad I didn't blow it off. Ran on the trail right after swim. Home finally at 7:20 and of course everyone had eaten. Grateful to have a guy who knows his way around the kitchen!

Stony. Great windless (OMG! so nice!) day at the park. Everyone was there. SO NICE to see so many peeps haven't ridden with in forever! Cool temps and low wind made for a nice pace today. First long ride on the Ventum. Still learning how to properly ride the ism saddle. I keep moving around on it. When I find the right spot its great though. Some fit issues to be worked through, but not horrible. Love the big nutrition bottle now that I have it figured out and set up the way I want. The rig got a lot of looks out there today. Working on the engine so I don't look stupid on such a beast bike. :D

Kept nutrition simple with clif bloks and nbs, but I got a bit hungry at the end of the ride. Putting some protein back in the mix next weekend I think.

Brick went better than expected. No knee issues and I ran in my vazee's as I forgot the kinvera's with the inserts. Was happy about that! Mostly hit paces and was pleased as I didn't think I could at all when starting. Legs felt decent post as well. Had a nice dinner with just Dave. The boy was working and the girl was out. He got me Mothers day flowers to go with the vacuum (I HATE our current model and am too cheap replace it, so he did it for me!) and we had a nice time just us. :D
